Exterior and Appearance
- A computer-controlled system used to automatically counteract trailer sway. When the computer senses the vehicle has left the driver's intended path, it will automatically apply select brakes to regain control and restore the intended path of the vehicle and trailer.
Powertrain and Mechanical
- Sequential multi-point fuel injection dedicates separate injector nozzles to deliver fuel directly to the intake port of each cylinder. Each injector nozzle triggers independently of each other in precisely timed pulses corresponding to the opening of intake valves.
- The single overhead camshaft (SOHC), which opens and closes the intake and exhaust valves, is located over the cylinders, directly operating the valvetrain. This construction is highly efficient, with fewer moving parts than an OHV design. A single overhead camshaft also makes multiple intake and exhaust valves practical.
Safety and Security
- Ignition immobilizer is a passive means of security. It consists of a transmitter embedded within the ignition key and a sensor located in the vehicle. These two circuits must be present, and must recognize each other before the vehicle will start.
- Anti-roll control uses gyroscopic sensors to gauge both the roll angle of the vehicle and the rate at which the roll angle is changing. When the system identifies conditions that could lead to vehicle instability and/or rollover, it employs the braking and engine control systems in an attempt to reduce the rate of body roll.
- Anti-rollover control uses gyroscopic sensors to gauge both the roll angle of the vehicle and the rate at which the roll angle is changing. When the system identifies conditions that could lead to vehicle instability and/or rollover, it employs the braking and engine control systems in an attempt to reduce the rate of body roll.
